This recipe is the result of countless bakes and of personal experience. After perfecting every step and adjusting the details through trial and error, I’ve finally developed the ultimate version—and I’m so excited to share all my personal tips and tricks with you!

Recipe:
🛒 Ingredients:
500g All-purpose flour
1 tsp Sugar (for the yeast)
1 packet (7g) Active dry yeast
380-400 ml (approx. 1.6 cups) Warm water
10g (2 tsp) Salt
1 tbsp Vegetable oil
Instructions:
1.Mix 1 tsp sugar and 1 packet of dry yeast into 200 ml warm water. Cover and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
2. Microwave the flour for 50 seconds, then stir it slightly.
3. Transfer the warm flour into your stand mixer bowl.
4. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture.
5. Add the salt, oil, and the remaining 180-200 ml of warm water.
6. Knead on low speed. If the dough is too sticky, add 1-2 tbsp of flour.
7. Finish kneading by hand until you have a smooth dough ball.
8. Place in a floured bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
9. On a floured surface, fold the dough a few times (gently to keep the air in) and shape into a loaf.
10. Place into a greased and floured baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
11. Preheat oven to 230°C (445°F). Place a rack in the middle and a pan with water underneath for steam (this creates the crispy crust).
12. Score the top of the bread diagonally with a sharp knife.
13. Brush with warm water and place in the oven.
14. Bake at 230°C (445°F) for 20 minutes, then reduce to 200°C (390°F) for another 20-25 minutes.
Tip: If the top browns too quickly, cover it with aluminum foil.
15. Let it cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
