Teacher shortage looming at Inkanini Primary School

Описание: The School Governing Body of Inkanini Primary in Khayelitsha warns a crisis is looming at the school from Monday after 6 fixed-term teacher contracts were not renewed.

The Western Cape High Court on Friday struck an urgent application for an interdict brought by the SGB from the roll.

The 6 jobs are part of the 2-thousand-400 posts that are in jeopardy as a result of stringent budget cuts.

Saying the school will be severely impacted, the SGB brought the matter against the Western Cape Department of Education and its MEC.
