In The Waltons we got to drive a lot of great classic cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles. There was the truck driven by John, John Boy, Grandpa, Jason and Ben. Then John Boy got a car. Then Mary Ellen married Curt and drove his hospital Van. Jim Bob built his own car, and rode a motorcycle - even raced it! Later, the Walton family got a paneled station wagon.
Ike had a classic motorcycle with a side car that Corabeth rode as if in a parade, while the Baldwin Sisters drove their Papa's beautiful old car. Along the way many visitors stopped by with an array of vintage models.
In this behind the scenes, Judy Norton (Mary Ellen Walton) shares secrets about how some of those scenes were filmed, what the cars were like to drive, and what happened when they didn't start?!
