Trampoline is a skill-based video game released by Taito in 1978, where players use a rotary controller to move a trampoline at the bottom of the screen to bounce a character up the screen to collect stars and reach trapezes for points. In addition to the rotary control for movement, there is a single button for a "jump" action.
The game was a sequel to Exidy's 1977 hit Circus, a Breakout variant where a clown bounces off a seesaw to pop balloons. Exidy developed a follow-up prototype under the name Trapeze where the character swung from trapezes, but it was not widely released in North America.
Trampoline is considered a part of the "Golden Age" of arcade games that began with the release of Space Invaders whose was the dominant game that year, Trampoline shares a design lineage with other "jumping" or "circus" games from that era.
