Volvo seems to have focused a bit more on the inside of the 2025 Volvo XC90. This isn’t surprising since the old one was quite a far cry from what you could find in the rest of the Volvo line-up. The new dashboard is a sea change, with its sculpted horizontal theme now bringing it on par with its competitors. You have a few colour options to choose from, we think a lighter shade goes well with this car’s demeanour, rather than the dark theme seen here.
Either way, the materials and finishes leave a lasting impression. The soft plastics are par for the course, but the denim-like fabric on the dash face and wood grain that complements it add some high-quality texture to the cabin. The door trim has also been redone to incorporate more of this, which raises the sense of luxury further. This is complemented by some new air vents, which look great but could have done with a bit more heft.
