Camino de Santiago - The Portuguese Way

Описание: This is the story of our friends and family walking the Camino de Santiago (filmed in 4K) - along with more than 270,000 people who will walk the Camino in 2016. This is the sixth year that the group have followed the 'ways' of the Camino and it is the first year trekking the stunning Portuguese route to Santiago (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The Portuguese Way has a long history which can be seen in many of the buildings and architecture along the route. The city of Porto and the University of Coimbra are great examples of this and are both listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This is the second most popular Camino however, it´s less crowded than the Camino Francès. According to statistics from the Pilgrims office in Santiago, over 16% of those receiving the Compostela certificate walk the Camino Português - it is the fastest growing in popularity.
