What a place! A place that should certainly be on your Japan travel list.

If you like getting off the beaten track and peace then this is the place for you. Situated around 3hrs away from Tokyo by train this mountainous town had loads of places to visit including an town called Chungushi that is 1269m above sea level and is home to the highest elevation lake in the whole of Japan. We also visited Kegon Falls and the most beautiful temples.
