Welcome to another quiet but busy winter day of my rural life in Iran.
Today for lunch I decided to make a traditional Gilani stew made with walnuts and duck meat🦆. First I ground the walnuts and my mother helped me and made potato coco🥔, which is very delicious with this local stew.
I cleaned the house so that after lunch we could make a homemade cauliflower pickle. My mother and I first chopped cauliflower, carrots🥕, red cabbage, celery and mixed them with fragrant Gilani spices. After adding some salt, vinegar and water, we filled the jars and closed them so that the flavors would naturally blend together. After two weeks, the pickles were ready.
