Drag your audio to a lower track, cut it accordingly, and adjust the size to accommodate the desired amount of silence. Mute the lower audio track by setting its level to -100 dB in the effect controls panel. Return to your original sequence and extend the nested audio to complete the silent sections. With the groundwork laid, it's time to introduce the echo effect. Head to the effects panel, search for "delay," and add the analog delay effect to the nested sequence.
