About the Game:
Released on October 10, 2025, Battlefield 6 is the eighteenth installment in the Battlefield series published by EA, and a return to a "back to basics" formula for the franchise, following the lackluster performance of BF2042.

Sometime after the events of Battlefield 4, the CIA had developed a deep-state operation to draw out the world’s enemies from obscure corners of the world and consolidate them under one umbrella, dubbed the “Pax Armata”. Backed by political powers, the CIA, and military industrial complexes, the Pax Armata was formed as a single, unified PMC to essentially give the United States and its allies a clear antagonist. But as Pax Armata grew and consolidated anti-American groups into its fold, it’s strength and power eventually caused the CIA to lose control, allowing it to become its own entity, independent of outside control. As global order eroded, a NATO Secretary General was assassinated at the hands of Pax Armata. After witnessing no credible action taken in response to the assassination, 12 countries lost complete confidence in NATO and pulled out of the alliance, instead throwing their weight behind Pax Armata, and igniting all out warfare.

Battlefield 6 received "generally favorable" reviews from critics, according to review aggregator website Metacritic. OpenCritic assessed that 93% of critics recommended the game. On October 16, 2025, EA announced that Battlefield 6 had sold over 7 million units in 3 days since release, making it the biggest launch in the series' history.
