A typhoon hits Japan, but instead of staying inside, I head out into the storm to explore Shinjuku. This 360 video takes place around the Gracery Hotel, home of the iconic Godzilla head, as heavy rain and strong winds change the feel of the city.
While walking near the hotel, we unexpectedly come across an idol concert and meet and greet happening off to the side. We circle around to see what it is like, somehow ending up surprisingly close to the stage and even the idols themselves as they interact with fans. It adds a completely unexpected moment to an already wild night.
We continue along Godzilla Road and explore the nearby streets, experiencing Shinjuku in a rare and intense setting most visitors never see. Watch in full 360 using your phone, VR headset, or mouse to experience the storm and the streets of Shinjuku.
