United States National Whitewater Center (USNWC) Kayaking: Overview

This video is designed to give the viewer a sense of what it's like to kayak at at the US National Whitewater Center. Whitewater Kayaking isn't something to approach without instruction due to the mortal hazards involved- seek instruction rather than trying it with no experience or prior knowledge.

I am a class III/III+ boater looking to push into bigger rapids. For me, this trip was about figuring out what the USNWC has to offer- with the intention of returning for a longer stay to train.

I had a great time enjoying the seat time in whitewater without the challenges presented by the outdoors (shuttling, etc.) and with a layer of added safety. These conditions made me feel good about trying the Competition Channel, which is intimidating, and classified by some as partially Class IV.

I will be making more videos to really pick apart each rapid in the Wilderness Channel, and can't wait to come back and paddle more at this absolute paddler's paradise.
