The party's provincial leader, Dr Roy Jakielsohn, says they can improve decaying infrastructure, poor performance and service delivery in the metro. The DA announced long-serving member, Werner Pretorius, as its Mangaung Metro mayoral candidate. This, as it gears up for its campaign trail ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections.
