Merge conflicts in Azure DevOps arise when multiple developers modify the same file lines in different branches, making automatic integration impossible. To resolve them, identify the conflicting files within your pull request or local branch. Azure DevOps provides tools for side-by-side comparison of the conflicting changes. Examine each conflict, understand the changes from both branches, and choose which changes to keep, modify, or combine. Edit the affected files directly in the web interface or locally in your development environment. Once all conflicts are resolved, mark the file as resolved, commit the changes, and push the updated branch. This allows the pull request to proceed, integrating your changes with the target branch.
