As part of getting our old jukebox back into decent condition, this video shows the replacement all the condensers in a 1939 Rock-Ola amplifier from a DE-39 jukebox. All the resistors tested out OK and were very close to their original values. The magnetics all look OK, so just replacing the capacitors.
Remember, when working with large capacitors and the voltages in vacuum tube amplifiers, make sure all the charge has dissipated from the capacitors !!
In a later video I will power up the amplifier and testing but that has to wait until my speaker gets back from being reconed.
The vacuum tubes used in this circuit are the 76, 6L6G in a push-pull amplifier, and 5U4-G for the rectifier. The filtering is a capacitor input pi filter followed by a couple of RC filter stages.
thanks
