B form registration process
B form registration procedure
✅ What is the B-Form (CRC)
The B-Form is the Child Registration Certificate (CRC) issued by NADRA for children under 18.
It is based on a birth registration done through the local union council (or equivalent).
As of 2025, new security features apply (for children above 10 years) such as photo, fingerprints, etc.
📝 Documents & Requirements
You will generally need:
The child’s birth certificate issued by the Union Council or equivalent.
At least one parent’s valid CNIC (or NICOP if applicable).
Recent passport-size photograph of the child (white background) when required.
If the child is older (10-18 years) and applying under new rules: biometric verification (photo + fingerprints) may be required.
Payment of the applicable fee (normal / urgent / executive service).
📲 How to Apply
Online (for children under one year)
Via the mobile app Pak‑ID or the NADRA online portal:
Download the app / open the portal.
Create an account or log in.
Select “Issuance of Identity Document” → “Child Registration Certificate (CRC)”.
Enter parent’s CNIC, fill in child’s details, upload photo, choose priority service.
Biometric verification of one parent might be required.
Pay fee and submit.
After issuance you may receive the form digitally (PDF) and/or hard copy.
In-Person (for older children, or when required)
Visit the nearest NADRA Registration Centre with the required documents.
The child (especially if above a certain age under the new rules) may need to be present with a parent/guardian.
Go through biometric/photo capture, document verification, fee payment and pick up or receive the B-Form.
⏳ Fees & Processing Time
The standard fee for a B-Form is approximately Rs 50 for the normal service.
There is an “executive” or urgent service (e.g., Rs 500) for faster processing.
Processing times vary: normal service may take some working days; urgent service is faster.
🔍 Important Notes & Tips
If a child’s birth is not registered at the union council, NADRA may refuse to issue the B-Form.
Previously issued B-Forms (older style) are still valid. You may not need to reapply unless required by specific use (e.g., for passport).
Make sure all parent/guardian CNICs are valid and present.
Ensure spelling of names, father’s/mother’s names, date of birth, etc., are correct — mistakes can cause complications later.
Use the online/Pak-ID route if eligible (under 1 year) to avoid long queues.
For children over 10 years under new rules: the B-Form will include biometrics and the old versions may not be accepted in all cases (for passports etc).
