"In 2019, Rahul Gandhi attended the Jallikattu festival in Madurai. In 2017, it was in Cong's manifesto to restore the festival in Tamil Nadu. So, claiming that Congress was opposed to the festival is wrong", says Ravi Srivastav. "Jallikattu holds deep cultural & traditional significance in Tamil Nadu. But unfortunately, Cong has time & again spoken against Jallikattu & they even wanted its ban", says Mithun Vijay Kumar, Political Analyst.
