Traveling to Pakistan in the midst of a middle eastern war, with everyone in the world telling me it's so dangerous and that I shouldn't go... Turns out that the people are more friendly and hospitable than almost anywhere in the world, and I feel safer than I do in my home country.

It's amazing what the media can do to our perceptions of a country.
