The carers had never worked with a donkey before and were unsure if he would survive. With multiple vet visits, careful feeding, treatments, and time, Irvin slowly began to recover. After several months, he made a complete 180. Today, Irvin is loud, playful, sassy, and full of personality, greeting everyone at breakfast and bringing joy wherever he goes. His story marks the beginning of the sanctuary and shows what patience, care, and compassion can do.
