Cumbres & Toltec

Описание: The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad of Chama, New Mexico has been transporting passengers up and over Cumbres Pass, Colorado since 1970 and continues to do so. The railroad also claims the title of both the highest and longest tourist railroad in the United States, operating over 64 miles of track and cresting Cumbres Pass at 10,015 feet above sea level. The ride is definitely something out of this world, attaining the most beautiful scenery in the American Southwest. During our trip up to this beautiful place, we got to chase K-36 #489 pulling the regular daily trains and the weekly Cumbres Turn. The 1925 graduate of Baldwin put on a spectacular show, even being an oil burner, it still showed off its pure steam power. We had an amazing time out here at this incredible railroad.
