Honduran Milk snake
(Lampropeltis triangalum hondurensis)
The Honduran Milk snake is a Harmless constrictor
It has amazing coloring. The base colors red with distinct rings or bands of black and yellow or orange. The reason for these bright colors is to mimic the venomous coral snake and to ward 9fd potential predators.
The Honduran Milk snake is one of the larger subspecies of Milk snake reaching 1.2m in length but in captivity specimens reach a length of 1.5m
The Honduran Milk snake come from the tropical areas of Honduras and Northeastern Costa Rica.
Milk snake eats a verity of prey like Lizards, rodents, birds and their eggs. They even eat other snakes including venomous snake.
Milk snakes lay an average 3-18 eggs. When a hatchling emerges from their egg it is about 20cm long
These beautiful snakes are best kept on their own as they have a tendency to eat other snakes.
