Caroline and Stefan are a couple, but Stefan has this fascination with Katherine and gives into it with a kiss. A couple of weeks late he tells Caroline the truth of what happened that night, and they slowly start growing further and further apart.
Stefan doesn't know who or what he wants.
He finally figures it out when he sees Caroline on a date with another guy - and now he will fight to win her back.
