In this video (which is sponsored by Hasselblad) I do a deep dive on converting old film cameras to digital and take a look at the legendary Hasselblad 500C/M and Hasselblad CFV 100C digital back. I love film photography but the versatility and workflow of digital photography just work better for me, especially after I spent all of my money on kodak gold and kodak portra film lol. That's why I put a lot of work into mimicking the dreamy pastel film look digitally and trying solutions like fujifilm film simulation recipes. There have been many attempts in the past to retrofit analog cameras with a digital sensor, for example the "I'm Back Film" kickstarter campaign. While interesting, most of these solutions have serious drawbacks. But using my mechanical medium format film camera with the CFV 100c digital back was definitely the most unique landscape photography and portrait photography experience I've ever had. There are more and more digital medium format cameras entering the market, like the Fujifilm GFX 100 ii, Fujifilm GFX 100rf, and especially Hasselblad with the Hasselblad X2D 100C. But none of these can offer what you get when blending film photography and digital photography like with the Hasselblad 907X and CFV 100C.
