This is the first video in an Ableton Live series, with the goal of showing you 100 essential efficient workflow techniques in 33 three-minute-or-less videos. Working efficiently is key to feeling more creative in your DAW and for music production in general. I’m going to show you the fastest most efficient way to quickly and accurately select tracks, scenes, clips, and clip slots so you can make multiple changes in one action. This tutorial is perfect for beginners.


Tip 1 = use shift to select a range of tracks, scenes, clips, or clip slots.
Tip 2 = use cmd (Mac)/ctl (PC) to select/deselect discontiguous tracks, scenes, clips, or clip slots.
Tip 3 = right click on a track or scene to select all of its contents.
