On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, Darien Library welcomed Kathryn Gilbery, SSE Exchange and Outreach Coordinator. Kathryn will discuss heirloom seeds, seed saving, and the work she does at Seed Savers Exchange.
Seed Savers Exchange stewards America's culturally diverse and endangered garden and food crop legacy for present and future generations. We educate and connect people through collecting, regenerating, and sharing heirloom seeds, plants, and stories.
About the Presenter
Kathryn Gilbery, SSE Exchange and Outreach Coordinator is enamored with all things gardening and culinary, which makes Seed Savers Exchange the perfect place for her to work! Kathryn coordinates the Exchange (SSE’s gardener-to-gardener seed swap), the Seed Trade Census, and leads tours and workshops throughout the year.
