It started as a cruel joke and ended as one of VYPER’s best nights on the road. Their manager swore they’d landed a gig “in Paris,” so the band loaded up with passports, berets, and hangovers. When the bus finally stopped, the only thing French about the place was the name on the water tower.
But they played the show anyway — in a smoky roadhouse with antlers on the walls and a bartender named Darla. By midnight, the floor was shaking, the crowd was roaring, and the band realized they didn’t need Europe — they already had rock ‘n’ roll right there in Texas.
