I’m attempting to develop the simplest possible demonstration system for experimenting with rf backscatter (also known as rf retroreflector) devices. The setup demonstrated here utilizes a SKY65050 RF transistor, a HackRF SDR, and a broadband log periodic antenna. The system is able to modulate ambient WiFi signals at 2.482GHz.
