1st Grade scholars use imaginitive play with scarves and learn how to move as fish in an aquarium while identifying pitch and dynamics.
When the sound is high & forte, they swim at the top of the aquarium; when the sound is low & piano, they swim to the bottom of the aquarium; when the sound stands still on one note, they float.
We also discuss instruments they hear (strings, piano, flute, clarinet).
