Keri Caves are often also called Marathia Caves because they are located on the southern and south-western part of the Keri peninsula near the village of Marathia. The grottoes are inaccessible from the shore and are caves in the cliffs that can be accessed from the sea. Expeditions to the caves are organized mainly from towns located on the southern part of the island (Laganas, Agios Sostis, Limni Keriou). Often these tours are tours that include:
so-called Turtle Spotting - then you sail towards the village of Laganas / Kalamaki,
sunbathing on the island of Marathonissi (on the sandy beach in its front part),
visiting Keri's caves - including stopping near one of them, pulling the ladder straight from the ship and jumping into the water. Interesting conversations happen here: because the water is so clear that you can see the bottom, sometimes swimmers ask the captain what the depth is, they get the answer: 20 meters.

Keri Grottoes are slightly smaller than the Blue Grottoes in the north of the island, but they have advantages - they are closer (you don't have to go to the northern towns to get to the grottoes) and there are definitely fewer ships sailing there. And the caves and cliffs in which they are located are beautiful (Cape Keri is one of the highest cliffs on the island of Zakynthos)

Groty Keri (Keri Caves) są często zwane też Grotami Marathia bo znajdują się na południowej i południowo-zachodniej części półwyspu Keri blisko miejscowości Marathia. Groty są niedostępne od strony brzegu i są to jaskinie w klifach, do których można się dostać od strony morza. Wyprawy do grot organizowane są głównie z miasteczek zlokalizowanych na południowej części wyspy (Laganas, Agios Sostis, Limni Keriou). Często wycieczki te są wycieczkami obejmującymi:
tzw. Turtle Spotting (czyli szukanie żółwi) - płynie się wtedy w kierunku miejscowości Laganas/Kalamaki,
plażowanie na wyspie Marathonissi (na piaszczystej plaży w jej przedniej części),
zwiedzanie grot Keri - łącznie z zatrzymaniem się w pobliżu jednej z nich, wyciągnięciem drabinki wprost ze statku i skokami do wody. Zdarzają sie tutaj ciekawe rozmowy: ponieważ woda jest taka czysta, ze widać dno, czasem pływający pytają kapitana jaka jest głębokość, otrzymują odpowiedź: 20 metrów.

Groty Keri są nieco mniejsze niż Błękitne Groty na północy wyspy, ale mają zalety - są bliżej (nie trzeba jechać do północnych miejscowości, żeby do grot się dostać) oraz zdecydowanie mniej statków tam pływa. A groty oraz klify w których się znajdują są piękne (Przylądek Keri to jedne z najwyższych klifów na wyspie Zakynthos)
