Modern cars use lots of plastic retainer clips. It's a headache to remove them without the proper tool, and you risk breaking them. I purchased my clip removal tool years ago and it gets plenty of use. Do yourself a favor and buy one. This is not the exact tool I have, but it looks almost identical and is highly rated on Amazon. As the plastic retainer clips on your Hyundai age they get brittle and break. I bought these clips on Amazon a few years ago and they are a perfect match for the OEM clips.

In the video I remove the front splash shield. I've found that over time time the bolts that attach the splash shield either fall out, or rust fast. I purchased this replacement fastener kit a few years ago and replace just the missing parts from it as needed. Very handy. This video covers the replacement of the electric water pump in a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. This is applicable to 2015-2019 7th generation Sonata Hybrids. This may be necessary when the Check Hybrid system HEV warning light is displayed and the OBD diagnostic trouble code is P2600 - Coolant Pump "A" Control Circuit / Open. High voltage battery is disconnected. The coolant is drained and refilled. The intake manifold is removed and reinstalled. The serpentine belt is removed and reinstalled. The hybrid starter generator HSG is removed and reinstalled. @PopsFixitShop.
