The trotty gaited horse, also called square going, is the opposite of pacing. So most the things you do to get it to stop trotting is the opposite of what you do to stop the pace. Remember to be patient, they have to build muscle in order to hold the gait and most importantly they have to understand when they have done the correct gait. So remember, less is more, in the beginning.
