Every day, I meet countless petitioners who come to me with different problems and hardships. But there is one reality that has shaken me deeply — not only as the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, but throughout my journey in TGSRTC, Cyberabad, and across various districts.
Time and again, I have seen elderly parents abandoned by their own children when they grow old, weak, or unwell. This is not just heartbreaking — it is unacceptable.
Caring for your parents is not a favour, nor a burden, nor a matter for debate. It is a birthright. There should be no arguments, no excuses, and no justifications.
Remember this: the way you treat your parents today is the lesson your children are watching and learning. What you sow now, you will reap when you grow old.
Let it be clear — mistreatment or neglect of elderly parents will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against those who abandon or ill-treat them.
To every elderly parent who feels helpless or unheard: you are not alone. You can approach me directly. Your dignity, safety, and well-being matter.
