One of the greatest running backs in Penn State history, the First-team All-American was drafted by the Chicago Bears with the 5th overall pick in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft.
Enis got off to a tumultuous start with the Bears. After a lengthy and contentious hold-out, Enis began his rookie season as the backup to incumbent Edgar Bennett.
Enis got his first start in a Week 9 match-up against the St Louis Rams. It would be his last that year as he sustained a knee injury that ended his season and would ultimately derail his career.
In the 1999 season he returned from the knee injury injury but was not the same player. Although he was the feature back for the season, he was largely ineffective.
In the 2000 season, his last year with the Bears, he was replaced in the starting lineup by James Allen and moved to fullback.
In 2001, Enis attempted to continue his career with the Cleveland Browns but was forced to retire due to a degenerative condition caused by the knee injury he sustained his rookie year.
