Notice the fantastic change in rhythm from:
[Bar 1] 1/16th with a dot + 1/32nd (taa - ta)
to [Bar 17]: 1/16th + 1/8th with a dot (ta - tà).
[Bar 17] also begins a fantastic series of legato (and acciaccatura) notes on different strings, magnificently theorized by Ferdinando Carulli (called ECHO).

"When tying notes two by two, it often happens, descending, that having plucked a note on one string, it must be tied with another note on the following string, then it is done with the ECHO.
The ECHO is made by vibrating a
string and placing the finger of the left hand
strongly on the following string, without having plucked it.
I recommend playing [Bar 17] and many other similar notes with the thumb (r.h.), while [Bar 18], the first F (E) chord should be played with a Arpeggio of the four "pima" fingers. But for consistency, you can also use just the thumb.
