Hi there.. If I have achieved any impact in the world, to enlighten of tragedies and lessons hopefully learnt from the past, it is in my body of work, representing World War Two specifically. The estimated death toll for this epic period of global human conflict that touched on most of the planet's shores, is in the region of seventy to eighty-five million fatalities. This includes twenty to twenty-five million military personnel and forty to fifty-five million civilians.

I've written a few books on the topic, produced around one hundred TV and video titles, and thanks to the breadth of YouTube out there, overall viewing figures are circa eight hundred million. I hope for a billion before I fall off my perch.

Now in my sixty seventh year, Artificial Intelligence has offered me an extraordinary opportunity to spread my words and visual painting further. My personal epic is World War Two, The Call of Duty. It is a 24-part series, each episode covering a three-month period of the conflict which ran from September 1939 to September 1945.

Obviously, I first produced this in the English language, and then I went for Portuguese with a TV contract specifically for Brazil. But now with this new technology, I'm embarking on a new creative journey. Pluck my voice out of the series and replace myself with at least ten different languages. My original words remain the same but now, they can become available to a greater audience. And therefore hopefully, spread the word of warnings that history can teach us.

It is worth noting that As YouTube have now added this facility to channel settings, the viewer is able to select more language options. But hereby lies a problem. French for example takes about eight percent longer to say the same thing in that native tongue than the original, so when you get to the end of where the English concluded, then the music and ambient sound can obliterate the narrator.

So, this means, that apart from translating through various tools, to make the titles work in other languages, we need to actually edit the original titles, to make bespoke versions. And that is the journey that starts here and now.
