Icy branches leave thousands without power in Old Hickory

Описание: Icy conditions are causing widespread damage across Middle Tennessee, knocking down trees and power lines and leaving tens of thousands of customers without electricity.

Nashville Electric Service crews say they are working around the clock to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

In Old Hickory, FOX 17 News’ Hope Salman spoke with residents after a massive tree fell on private property, taking power lines down with it and cutting electricity to part of the neighborhood.

Residents along one side of Bryan Street say they’ve been without power for days and are growing increasingly frustrated especially since homes directly across the street still have electricity.

A large tree split and crashed into a power line near Ron Sutton’s home.
