Some years ago I set up my second interview with Stiv. Danny Reid, the sax player in Syl Sylvain's band happened to be in town, and, since he knew Stiv really well, I asked him if he would do the interview. What ensued for the next couple of hours was the typical madness that was always present when Stiv was around. Here is an excerpt from that interview, along with tributes to him after his death sent by both Iggy Pop and filmmaker John Waters. I've previously posted the tributes and the full interview, but this is a different take of Waters.
Also in this clip is a video we shot in the studio of The Pink Holes, one of Cleveland's legendary punk bands, performing The Lion Sleeps Tonight The clip opens with a snippet from the brilliant British cartoon, Danger Mouse describing what happens when you get sucked into a pink hole. Enjoy.
