شفتوا الصورة دي؟ دي مومياء رمسيس التاني، واحد من أشهر وأقوى ملوك مصر القديمة، اللي حكم حوالي 67 سنة! كان بيحب البناء جدًا وعمل آثار ضخمة زي معبد أبو سمبل ومعبد الرامسيوم.

اكتشافها: المومياء دي ماكانتش في مقبرته الأصلية في وادي الملوك. الكهنة القدامى خبّوها عشان يحموها من السرقة. تم اكتشافها في خبيئة الدير البحري (TT320) في الأقصر سنة 1881 بواسطة فريق بقيادة جاستون ماسبيرو، بعد ما اكتشفتها عائلة عبدالرسول.

فين هي دلوقتي؟ بعد ما كانت في المتحف المصري بالتحرير، المومياء الأسطورية دي موجودة حاليًا في المتحف القومي للحضارة المصرية (NMEC) في القاهرة، وتم نقلها في موكب المومياوات الملكية التاريخي سنة 2021

معلومة على السريع: الملك ده عاش كتير جدًا، حوالي 90 سنة، والمومياء بتاعته بتورينا ملامح قوية وإنه كان بيعاني من التهاب المفاصل!

Ramesses The Great! The Story of a Legendary Mummy 👑

Look at this incredible sight! This is the mummy of Ramesses II, one of the most famous and powerful kings of Ancient Egypt, who reigned for an astonishing 67 years! He was a massive builder, responsible for colossal monuments like the temples of Abu Simbel and the Ramesseum.

The Discovery: His mummy wasn't found in his original tomb in the Valley of the Kings. Ancient priests moved it to protect it from looting. It was discovered in the Deir el-Bahari Royal Cache (DB320) near Luxor in 1881 by a team led by Gaston Maspero, following a discovery by the Abd el-Rassul family.

Where is he now? After being housed in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, this legendary mummy is currently displayed at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Cairo, after being transferred in the historic Royal Mummies Parade in 2021.

A Quick Fact: The King lived to be very old, around 90 years! His mummy shows his strong features and signs that he suffered from severe arthritis.
