📝 Ingredients
For Chicken Marination:
• 250 gms Boneless Chicken 🐔
• ½ tbsp Ginger 🫚 & Garlic 🧄 Paste
• 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder 🌶
• 1 tsp Garam Masala
• ¼ tsp Turmeric (Haldi)
• ½ tsp Salt 🧂
• ½ tsp Kasuri Methi
• ½ Lemon 🍋 (juice)
• ½ tsp Mustard Oil 🛢
For Filling:
• 1 Onion 🧅 (chopped)
• 1 Capsicum 🫑 (chopped)
• ½ cup Lettuce 🥬 (chopped)
• ½ cup Mayonnaise
• 1 tbsp Chilli Mayonnaise / Chilli Sauce
• 1 tsp Black Pepper 🫙
• ½ tsp Salt 🧂
• 1 Cucumber 🥒 (chopped)
For Coating:
• 3–4 Eggs 🥚
• 12–15 Bread Slices 🍞
• Breadcrumbs
• Oil for frying
🥬 For Garnish:
• 3–4 Lettuce Leaves
👩🍳 Method
1️⃣Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl add small pieces of chicken, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric, salt, kasuri methi, lemon juice & mustard oil.
Mix well and marinate for 15–20 minutes.
2️⃣ Cook the Chicken
Heat a pan with a little oil. Add onion and sauté for 1 minute.
Add the marinated chicken and cook until fully done.
Finally add capsicum and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
3️⃣ Prepare the Filling
In a bowl add lettuce, mayonnaise, chilli mayo / chilli sauce, black pepper & salt.
Add cooked chicken and cucumber slices.
Mix everything well.
4️⃣ Prepare the Bread
Take 2 bread slices, flatten them together using a rolling pin.
Cut into round shapes using a cutter or bowl.
5️⃣ Coat the Pockets
Dip each bread pocket in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
6️⃣ Fry
Heat oil and deep fry the pockets until golden brown & crispy.
7️⃣ Assemble
Cut each pocket in half.
Add a lettuce leaf and fill with the chicken mixture.
✨ Serve hot with ketchup or chilli mayo!
