Merli V. Guerra, assistant professor of dance technology in the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts, discusses her project “Fossilizing the Ephemeral,” in which she created sculptures based on dancers’ movements. This research was inspired by the Waco Mammoth National Monument, and she was named the first-ever artist-in-residence there in July.
