In this video, I’m sharing an idea for a calming container garden – a peaceful, thoughtfully designed space created entirely with potted plants. At the heart of this corner are Japanese maples growing in large containers, surrounded by a delicate palette of perennials and annuals in soft lime green and white tones.
You’ll find coleus, aralia, heuchera, and lime-hued ipomoea, paired with white Supertunia ‘Snowdrift’, white verbena ‘Vanessa’, and airy euphorbia ‘Diamond Frost’.
I also go into the technical aspects of how I created this container garden – from how I prepare the soil and arrange the plants to the drip irrigation system that keeps everything thriving all season long. This is a garden that invites you to slow down and breathe – perfect for quiet afternoons with a cup of tea and a good book.
