The potholders are made from these design requirements:
1. They have to protect your hands from heat - with layers and layers of crochet ;-)
2. They have to last - and be sturdy in use.
3. They have to be able to hang on any kitchen hook.
4. They have to look ok even if stained by oils, spices and other foods.

They are named after my grandmother, Lis, who had great crochet skills, was a great cook and a fierce independant women with har foot under her own table.
