Southwest Plane Narrowly Avoids Runway Collision in Chicago

Описание: A Southwest Airlines Co. plane narrowly avoided a possible collision with a smaller business jet on the runway of Chicago Midway International Airport on Tuesday morning, adding to a series of near misses and fatal crashes in recent weeks.

The crew of Southwest Airlines Flight 2504 performed a so-called go-around to avoid the business jet, which had entered the runway without authorization, the US Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board each said they are investigating the incident.
