Meaning "Dances of the Amazon" in Portuguese, this latin-influenced piece brings together many aspects of the Amazon Rainforest and its rich mosaic of biodiversity, culture, and myths. One of these myths being Saci-Pererê. He's a mischievous one-legged prankster known for his harmless playfulness and dancing. Of course, with the Amazon, also comes its lush beauty, as a small middle section of the piece represents it. With some influence from Redline Tango and much of my own listening of Latin music, you can feel the passion in this piece draw you in for a dynamic journey.
