Blackthorn (Anjin) memorial park and grave.
There are two Anjin graves, one is a memorial service grave at Jodoji Temple in Yokosuka City, and the other is a burial grave in Nagasaki City.
Anjin Memorial Park is located in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
Historic sites of Anjin remain in Ito City, Yokosuka City, Nagasaki City, and Nihonbashi Tokyo.
Anjin was given a house in Nihonbashi, near Edo Castle, and served Toranaga as a diplomatic advisor. Then he moved to Nagasaki and resumed his trading business, and fainaly died in Nagasaki.
Anjin was the first to introduce Western sailing ship manufacturing technology to Japan. His achievements were significant, and the Anjin Festival and Anjin Fireworks Festival are held every year in Ito City and Ajiro, where the shipyard was located.
A festival will also be held in Yokosuka, where he had the territory he received from Toranaga.
