Traceless Neck lift On a 58-year-old Man | Before and After Video | Dr. David Stoker

This is an example of a two-stage operation, on this 58-year-old gentleman. I performed a traceless neck lift using a submental incision technique. What is that? It means I did not use a typical incision around the ears. He was on an anti-platelet medication for a heart condition, and it made it a bad idea to do the more extensive face and neck lift operation. So I did a more limited procedure, but like many of my patients, he still wanted maximum results.

The two-stage procedure included the traceless neck lift, including direct excision of the submental fat, and platysmaplasty to tighten his neck. I also excised extra skin under his neck. Secondly, I performed upper eyelid surgery on him. And last, two rounds of fractional carbon dioxide laser resurfacing. I went fairly deep with that laser treatment, and I did it one year apart. He showed about two months after the second treatment. It wasn't necessary for him to wait a year, but he came back and wanted more. Look for a moment at the beautiful impact this had on him. Check out, starting at the top, his brow. All the sunspots are gone, his skin looks 20, 25 years younger. The wrinkles are greatly diminished. The changes in the eyes are amazing. You can see that he has really nice-looking eyes. The hooding is no longer there. The really dramatic wrinkles underneath and around his eyes are pretty much eliminated, almost completely in this case. Look at the profile view of his neck. He had a very substantial amount of excess fat and skin in that area. Again, it was dramatically improved. It made him feel really great about his appearance, and it made me feel really happy to help him in this way.
