2021 CBR #4 CIRCUIT RACE - CAT 4 FULL RACE WITH DATA

Описание: This is the full race from CBR this past weekend. This is a 1.9 mile crit style circuit race. There are a couple brief rolling hills that make the course super dynamic with a nice hairpin U-Turn included.

I was pretty dead from racing the Keirin on the track on Friday night (I won that race) so I had planned to sit in and hope for a field sprint. This course is actually great for a break-away to stick but it wasn't in the cards this day as people were pretty willing to keep it stitched together.

One dude managed to sneak away and solo it off the front with about a half lap to go and got a gap that he held. Congratulations.

Honestly, I just didn't have the juice to get the result I was looking for. In this race, I feel like I was in position I just got outsprinted when everyone had more in the tank than I did.

The field sprint started super early, and for a crit race this was a long sprint. I would guess well over 500m as we started sprinting at the bottom of the hill and almost had to throw down two efforts.

Overall, not a bad race, not a good race. Locked up 12th in this one...so I'd call it mid-pack.
