Описание: A Trip across to the Holy Isle on Arran - via the ferry from Lamlash - fabulous island to visit - you have a 4 hour window before you need o get the ferry back to the mainland ( Lamlash/Arran) at time of posting ferry is £24 PP Adult.

The ferry takes roughly 15 mins and you need to book in advance to guarantee a place as often this is full - very friendly service.

The Holy isle itself is a great place to visit with a variety of wild flowers & various animals unique to the isle there is a nesting peregrine falcon but I didn’t manage to see it although could hear the young calling out.

Its a steady track up to the summit not a mission of any degree but of course good footwear & plenty of water a must, there is nowhere to purchase food or drinks on the isle so remember to bring whatever you may require!

You generally walk hike this clockwise 🔁 up through the woods and over the 1st plateau to the summit, it’s a minor scramble down but nothing overly technical just ensure you are wearing decent walking/tracking footwear bearing in mind of course weather conditions always change the level of grip you may have.

A fine 360 degree view to be had from the summit - ferry’s operate a 4 hr. turn round so after a brief chat about the islands history you have the opportunity to climb across it - 3 hrs. start to finish is ample in good conditions.
