And here's our vertical stage for the game. You're climbing to the top of this tower to face down Aviator, and there'll be multiple times where we have to deal with heavy winds. The typical blowing you one direction to make platforming difficult variety is here, but at the end there is an updraft that lets you jump higher, and if you constantly dash you can ride the wind up. There is a ship miniboss in this stage that comes in three phases: first the cannon on the bottom, then the three mini-turrets on the side, and lastly the giant screw on the bottom.

So naturally, Aviator's arena has pits in it. There's some updrafts at the bottom to help you recover yourself if you do fall. Aviator's attacks include summoning a little camera bot to move back and forth while he swoops down from the top of the screen. This is easily avoided by just standing on the middle platform, but you can also stand on either the left or right platform and just keep shooting as the camera stops moving when hit and Aviator doesn't ever hit those two platforms. He'll also fly across the top of the screen and drop bombs across the field. These bombs can be destroyed before hitting the ground, but it's best to just avoid them. If you manage to absorb some Xels from Avi during this, you get a Fine Play bonus. He'll also fly from the either the top or bottom of the screen from one side from the field and fire his machine guns while doing so, then go the opposite direction on the other side of the screen. Grab on the middle ledge to avoid this attack. Absorbing Xels during this attack awards another Fine Play bonus.Lastly, his desperation attack has him fly into the background and fire his machine guns at you. Afterwards he will try to swoop at you. Simply dash and jump to avoid all this. __
