Green Island is just 45 minutes from Cairns by boat.

We were able to snorkel straight off the beach and saw lots of fishes and coral. In the afternoon we saw lots of turtles but forgot to take the camera.
the glass bottom boat goes out a bit further and you get to see lots of bigger fish and more of the reef.
it is a great way to see the Great Barrier Reef
